This 2 litre Christmas pudding steamer can be used for the Christmas pudding recipe on this website, but of course you are welcome to use your own recipe (hopefully a family recipe handed down over the years).

You can use this for any type of pudding you wish, puddings that are quite often sticky are great to use in this nonstick bowl, steak and kidney puddings also work very well in this Plum Pudding bowl.

A handy tip which you will not find on any other website, cut a disc of greaseproof paper slightly larger than the lid, and place that disc on top of the pudding bowl, then close the lid on top of the disc. You may not find this necessary, but it will give you peace of mind if you are worried about any steam getting inside the pudding bowl.

The following instructions are designed to allow you to use your pudding steamer for many years, please follow this advice and you will be very happy with your purchase.

Do not use Vegetable cooking sprays as this can cause damage to the non stick coating, Paul uses suet as an extra non-stick coating, but you can use butter instead .

This is a steamer, please do not use this in an oven, please do not use this on a stovetop.

BE AWARE, this is NOT designed to for long term storage your pudding, if you wish to store a Christmas pudding steamed in this steamer, remove the pudding after it is cold, wrap the pudding in greaseproof or silicone baking paper, then, when Christmas day in July arrives, unwrap the pudding and place back into this steamer for re-heating (see the recipe on this site)
